Recently Simpson College, located in Indianola, Iowa, has broadened its educational horizons and added a major that is fast becoming one of the most favorite across the nation. The Forensic Science/Biochemistry major is now being offered at Simpson College in the heart of the midwest. Simpson college has always been highly regarded in educational circles when it comes to cutting edge curriculum and highly qualified staff and educators. The addition of the Forensic Science/Biochemistry major comes as no surprise to those knowing the quality and planning do into majors offered at this private Iowa college. Though the class work is intense at between 55.5 and 59.5 hours of required coursework, the student will be exposed to courses not only in Chemistry and Biology but Criminal Justice as well. This all adds up to a well rounded education and the beginning of a bright future in Forensic Science. Working closely with law enforcement or other departments in an internship is another option of this program and one that is strongly encouraged for those who wish to apply for an entry level position in forensic work after graduation. Also offered is a minor in forensic science for those in law enforcement or other areas where forensic science knowledge would be a definite asset to ones educational background.

Located unprejudiced twelve short miles from the state capital of Des Moines, Iowa, Indianola is a somewhat small town with a population of 13,000, which respects and supports the college and its students as well. This college is tiny with approximately 1500 full-time students and 500 part-time students. With a professor for approximately every 15 students, the student population receives great student to instructor instruction.
